International Book Arsenal in Kyiv 2026: Academic Program

On May 29, 2026, SUPRR together with the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv co-organized the event "From Shelves and Drawers to Millions of Readers: How University Monographs and Popular Science Become the Voice of Ukraine’s Open Science Globally" . The event was a part of the academic program at the International Book Arsenal Festival in Kyiv.

The event brought together researchers, publishers, and academic leaders from leading Ukrainian universities and research institutions.

Discussions focused on how academic knowledge can reach wider audiences and strengthen Ukraine’s global academic presence. Key themes included the importance of popular science publishing, the University Press model, grant-funded publishing, and modern promotion strategies involving media and influencers.

The event saw robust participation from top-tier institutions, including the Institute of Higher Education of the NAES of Ukraine, the Institute of the Ukrainian Language of the NAS of Ukraine, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Mariupol State University, National University of Food Technologies, State University Kyiv Aviation Institute and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv itself.
