Our Story
As the full horrors of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine unfolded people in the West wanted to extend a helping hand.
The SUPRR initiative was founded in 2023 by Dr Frances Pinter, a British academic publisher. She along with others decided to see how they might help the Ukrainian publishing industry in the time of war.
Many of our projects have been supported both financially and in-kind by publishers throughout the world who also felt compelled to act where they could. The team and many more have handcrafted individual interventions that have shown what can be achieved when those who understand the value of a strong and free publishing sector for the good of the nation and the world work together.
